About Rami

Welcome to my world of storytelling.
My name is Rami. I am a filmmaker from Jaffa with a passion for creating films that challenge perspectives and spark meaningful conversations. If you’re here, you probably believe, like I do, that stories have the power to connect, inspire, and drive change.

my journey

Have you ever felt like your true calling was just waiting for the right moment to find you? That’s exactly what happened to me. As a child, I was captivated by writing and photography, always searching for new ways to tell stories. Life took me on a detour through engineering, but the pull of filmmaking was too strong to ignore.
When I stepped back into the world of film, everything clicked. From the first short film I directed, Mlukhiye (2021), to the latest project, Old Decorations (2024), each step has shaped my journey along the way, I’ve collaborated with other creatives, mentored aspiring filmmakers, and worked on TV shows like Don’t Ask That.
Every project has been a chance to grow, connect, and tell stories that resonate with human experiences.

my goal

Have you ever watched something that stayed with you long after the credits rolled? That’s the kind of impact I aim to create. Through my work, I explore themes like identity, resilience, and social justice stories that not only entertain but also inspire reflection and action.
My goal is to use film as a way to challenge societal norms, spark important conversations, and connect people on a deeper level.

looking ahead

The future excites me because there’s so much more to create. I dream of directing feature films that tackle global issues with a local lens. But it’s not just about my journey, it’s about building a community.
I want to share what I’ve learned with emerging filmmakers, collaborate with creatives across borders, and amplify voices that deserve to be heard. Together, we can create stories that push boundaries and make a lasting impact.

why I do this

For me, storytelling is more than a craft, it’s a responsibility. Stories have the power to connect us, to challenge what we think we know, and to inspire change.
I believe in authenticity, collaboration, and pushing the limits of creativity. As a Palestinian, I carry a deep sense of responsibility to my community, working to reclaim narratives and elevate our shared stories.
If my work resonates with you, I invite you to explore, connect, and join the journey. Together, we can make storytelling a tool for empathy, empowerment, and transformation.
