Since the beginning of my journey in the film industry, I fell in love with the role of the First Assistant Director – the person responsible for time management, set coordination, and keeping the entire production on track.
I began working in this position on student films such as Salim by Haneen Hlehel, The First Dinner by Thekra Makalda, and The Wedding Dress by Rama Mousa – which participated in various festivals, as well as the graduation film of Haitham Saad.
Over time, I continued to work on independent short films like Midnight Red by Jalal Massarwa (which screened at several festivals) and the horror short Don’t Sleep by Mu Vision. These were all brilliant, bold projects I had the pleasure of being part of.
More recently, I was the 1st AD on Clouds Live Briefly in the Wind by Mohammad Abu Ahmad – winner of Best Short Film at the 2023 Haifa International Film Festival – and on Me and My Brother Saleh, the debut short film by actor Alaa Dakka.
I continue to work as a First AD on independent shorts, proudly supporting and uplifting the local Palestinian film scene with every set I step onto.
